Musah Alhassan netted a late equaliser as Real Tamale United snatched a point in a 1-1 Ghana Premier League draw with Bofoakwa Tano at the Golden City Park in Berekum on Monday afternoon.

A cagey and a scrappy start was made by both teams in the opening exchanges, but it was Bofo who looked the most assured in possession and tested the gloves of the RTU goalkeeper on countless occasions in the first half.

Captain of Bofoakwa Tano Saaka Dauda who broke the deadlock midway through the second half courtesy of a superb 36th minute spot kick.

The Green and Whites failed to assert their dominance in the early stages as they dished out all the fine football in front of the Berekum crowd but failed to nick home as they squandered all the chances that came their way.

RTU’s goalkeeper was called upon on a couple of times to save the home side' bacon, and the spoils would ostensibly be shared as minutes of added time went up on the board which helped the Pride of the North to equalise at the dying embers (90th minute).

A draw for Bofo extends their winless league run to four defeats, one draw in their last five league matches and sees them remain in 16th place on 19 points in the Ghana Premier League table, just one point ahead of RTU, who are laying down comfortably in the bottom (18th) with 18 points.
