Head coach of Heart of Lions Bashir Hayford has stated that the stormy weather conditions in Sogakope caused their defeat against Great Olympics on Saturday.

The Kpando based side went under the knife at the WAFA Park by succumbing to a 2-0 defeat to Oly Dade.

Young hotshot Yusif Abdul Razak scored twice to secure all the three points for his side in the match-week 19 fixture.

During the post-match interview, Hayford said: “The performance wasn’t bad, only that I told you from the beginning that the only disadvantage is the wind. It is very difficult to play against the wind and even for the wind.

"In the second goal, it (the ball) bounced and changed position. It’s difficult but I think the boys have done very well, we played very well," he added.

Heart of Lions are still lurking in the relegation zone (16th) with 18 points. They will next face Real Tamale United in match-week 20 game at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday, March 10.
