Bibiani Goldstars capitalized on their home advantage to defeat CAF Confederation Cup semifinalists Dreams FC 2-1 at Duns Park on Sunday.
In a fiercely contested matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League, Goldstars secured a vital victory, earning three crucial points. The first half ended in a tense goalless draw as both teams struggled to break the deadlock.
Goldstars took the lead just a minute into the second half with a goal from Alex Aso. Emmanuel Appau extended their lead in the 54th minute, sealing the win for the home side. Dreams FC's Joseph Esso managed to score in injury time, but it wasn't enough to prevent their defeat.
This win moves Goldstars to the 10th position with 43 points after 31 matches, while Dreams FC, now in 14th place with 38 points, still have two outstanding games.
With five matches left in their campaign, the Still Believe lads have a chance to recover from this setback and fight against relegation.
