Raymond Oko Grippman scored the only goal of the match as Great Olympics recorded a 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Premier League fixture at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The result has left Great Olympics in sixteenth spot on 39 points in the Premier League table, still lurking in the relegation zone, while Asante Kotoko are 10th, boasting 43 points from their 32 matches this term.
Kotoko had a glorious chance in the first-half of the match inside sixteen minutes after Mukwala was clipped down in the box, with the referee awarding a penalty to the home side but the Porcupines spot kick was saved by Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.
Olympics took their time to get into the first half, making the breakthrough in the 43rd minute, with Grippman’s effort beating Frederick Asare, as they found the back of the net.
Kotoko went in search of a leveller late on, with Mukwala missing the target from distance, as they were unable to respond, with Grippman’s effort deciding the contest.
