Kamaradini Mamudu scored a last minute goal as Medeama recorded a 1-0 victory over Great Olympics in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The breakthrough came in the 90+7’ minute of the contest, and Great Olympics were unable to find a leveller despite their best efforts, with the Capital side dropping down to the 14th position in the table, one point above the relegation standing.
Medeama, meanwhile, have moved into third position, with just nine points from reaching the top spot.
Great Olympics entered the match off the back of two draws and one loss, with Medeama coming into the game with one win, one defeat and one draw, but Nebojsa Kapor’s side were able to bounce back with a convincing win.
Great Olympics will next travel to Dawu to face Legon Cities, who lost their game-week 29 contest to Asante Kotoko. Medeama on the other hand will sit in Tarkwa and welcome Real Tamale United to the Akoon Park in match-week 30 on May 18.
