Medeama moved to fourth position in the table courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Legon Cities at the Akoon Park on Sunday afternoon.

Medeama should have made the breakthrough early in the first half of the contest when Cities back line weren’t robust enough as they kept releasing the Yellow and Mauves forwards, but their bullets did not race towards goal, as they could only fire wide of the post.

The away side were pressing for a leveller late on but they just could not find that precious leveller, with Medeama picking up a vital three points in their pursuit to retain the league title.

Legon Cities will now switch their attention to their next fixture as they will be bidding to bounce back from the defeat when they host Hearts of Oak in match-week 26 of the league on Saturday, April 20.
