Goals from Michael Enu and Derrick Fordjour were enough to hand Medeama SC a resounding 2-0 triumph over Aduana Stars in an epic GPL week 22 fixture at the Akoon Park on Thursday morning.

The game originally started last Wednesday mid-afternoon in Tarkwa but had to end abruptly due to a heavy downpour of rain when the scoreline was goalless after first half.

It was really an exciting fixture with both sides coming in with different approaches especially in the opening twenty minutes.

Medeama SC were very much focused on keeping the ball and had a large share of possession whereas Aduana Stars won't play much but looked more purposeful anytime they had the ball.

This morning, both teams returned for the second half and were looking very poised and determined to claim the three points in just 45 minutes.

The two clubs charged up at each other right from the blast of the referee's whistle with series of attacks and mounted so much pressure in search of nothing but a goal.

Finally, it was the Mauves and Yellows that jumped into the lead on the 73rd minute thanks to a good goal from defender Michael Enu to send the Tarkwa fans in raptures.

The 'Ogya' lads never relented and gave it their all in the final minutes of the game but all proved futile as Medeama SC dumped their hopes in the bin by doubling their lead just on the stroke of full time through Derrick Fordjour.

It finished 2-0 in the end for the homesters to get themselves back on winning ways.

They will travel to Dreams FC next in Dawu, whiles Aduana Stars will also play as guests to Great Olympics in the capital in Ghana Premier League match-week 23 this weekend.
