The Asante Kotoko coach says many lucrative opportunities have come his way recently, including an approach from Hearts of Oak.

The 46-year-old has returned back to the fold of Asante Kotoko after being drafted into the Interim Management Committee (IMC), where he shockingly resigned.

The Psychologist and Educationist had previously won the Ghana Premier League title at Kotoko as his reputation in football remains strong enough to attract some lucrative contract offers, but says he's only interested in coaching the Porcupine Warriors.

“I was linked to the Hearts of Oak job; if I wanted to go, I would have done it," he disclosed in an interview with Angel FM.

"It was just there for me to go; they called me, they engaged me. I could have gone. I said no I will not go and they didn’t even understand why…It’s all about Kotoko," he added.

Asante Kotoko have secured just a win in their last five matches played in the second round of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

They currently sit in 8th position in the summit with 32 points. Their next fixture which is Match-Week 23 will be against regional rivals Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, March 24, with kick-off slated at 18:00GMT.
