Nations FC ended their three-game losing run with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Medeama at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Black Stars defender Razak Simpson opened the scoring for Nations FC in the 33rd minute, giving the hosts a deserved first-half lead. Medeama hit back after the break, with Mubarik Yussif converting a penalty to bring the visitors level.
However, in-form forward Faisal Charwetey restored Nations’ advantage, netting his 10th goal of the season to seal all three points. The defeat halted Medeama’s momentum following their 3-1 win over Bechem United last week.
Nations FC dominated the match, registering 11 goal attempts, and their victory puts them firmly back in the race for a top-four finish.
They now sit just three points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko, keeping their title aspirations alive.
