Two first half goals from Baba Hamadu and Emmanuel Keyekeh propelled Samartex FC to an important 1-2 win over Aduana Stars in GPL match-day 18 at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium.
Coach Yaw Acheampong named a strong line up that comprised of goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah, Sam Adams, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Kelvin Obeng, skipper Bright Adjei and more.
On the opposition side, Joseph Baah made the post alongside Baba Musah Hamadu, Evans Osei Owusu, Emmanuel Siaw, star-midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh and much more.
The game was really an open one with even exchanges throughout as both teams consistently attacked each other right from onset. Samartex were on top at half time whiles Aduana Stars took charge in the second half.
The Timber Giants set off with an explosive start and opened the scoring account in just seven minutes from kickoff through Baba Musah Hamadu who connected at a close range.
Ten minutes later, mercurial midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh controlled a good ball, nutmegged an opposition player before hitting a strong one from way out to double the lead for the visitors.
In the second half, both teams returned on a blistering note but Aduana Stars looked much more improved this time as compared to the first half.
On the 75th minute, the home team pulled one back finally through Samson Cobbinah who struck from a close range.
The 'Ogya' lads mounted so much pressure in the last fifteen minutes in search of the leveller but all their efforts proved futile as it finished 1-2 after full time.
