FC Samartex 1996 showcased their prowess in a convincing comeback to secure a 3-0 victory against Karela United at the Nsenkyire Stadium, reclaiming the top spot in the Ghana Premier League.

From the opening moments of the matchday 16 fixture, the Timber Giants asserted their dominance, setting the tone for a commanding performance.

Their efforts were rewarded just before halftime when forward Emmanuel Mamah unleashed a spectacular goal, putting Samartex in the lead.

Mamah, eager for more, nearly secured a second goal shortly after the break, narrowly missing as his shot struck the framework. The team continued to press forward, and midfielder Seidu Dauda Yussif extended the advantage with a powerful long-range strike.

In the 76th minute, Baba Hamadu Musa sealed the victory with a forceful header, connecting with a well-delivered cross from defender Francis Gyetuah.

With this triumphant display, Samartex reclaims the top spot in the league standings, amassing 29 points from 16 matches.

The win puts them two points ahead of contenders Aduana Stars, Nsoatreman FC, and Berekum Chelsea, all tied at 27 points.
