Hearts of Oak suffered their fourth consecutive defeat of the season, falling 2-1 to Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians took the lead in the 35th minute when Linda Mtange calmly finished off a superb pass from Eric Esso.
However, just one minute into the second half, Abdul Manaf Umar equalized for RTU, capitalizing on a rebound from a Mohammed Mankuyeli shot.
In the 72nd minute, Hearts of Oak were reduced to 10 men as Eric Esso received a straight red card. RTU took advantage of the situation and secured the winning goal in the 80th minute through Stephen Dankwa Badu.
Despite a late push for an equalizer, Hearts of Oak were unable to break through RTU's resilient defense, and the match ended in a 2-1 victory for the visitors. RTU also finished the game with 10 men, and Hearts of Oak had a goal disallowed for offside.
In other matches, Bechem United defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0, with goals from Joseph Kinful and Cephas Kofi Mantey. Samartex held Medeama to a goalless draw, leaving Medeama needing at least a point in their final game against Tamale City to clinch the Premier League title.
Nsoatreman secured their place in the topflight league for another season with a 2-1 victory over Aduana FC. Samuel Ofori scored a brace for Nsoatreman, while Kelvin Obeng netted the consolation goal for Aduana.
Karela United kept their survival hopes alive with a 3-2 home win against Bibiani GoldStars. Evans Adomako scored two goals, and George Amonoo added another for Karela, while Abednego Tetteh scored both goals for GoldStars, taking his season tally to 18.
Already relegated Kotoku Royals emerged victorious with a 4-1 win over Tamale City in Dawu. Francis Andy Kumi netted a brace, and Richard Amoah and Tahir Mensah also found the back of the net for Kotoku Royals. Godknows Dzapkasu scored Tamale City's only goal.
Asante Kotoko secured a 1-0 victory against Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Sarfo Taylor scoring the lone goal in the 22nd minute.
Dreams FC secured their place in the betPawa Premier League for another season with a 2-1 victory over Great Olympics. Godfred Atuahene and Ali Huzaif scored for Dreams, while Solomon Adomako netted for Great Olympics.
In a match that ended a winless streak of six league games, King Faisal defeated Legon Cities 3-1. Abdul Latif scored a brace, and Baba Yahaya added another goal for King Faisal, while Ebenezer Armegah scored the consolation goal for Legon Cities.
Despite their 3-1 victory, King Faisal has been relegated to the Division One league.
