Asante Kotoko Life Patron, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, says the club should go and conquer Africa after they won the Ghana Premier league title.

The Porcupine Warriors were crowned as the GPL champions yesterday, in their coronation game against Elmina Sharks, at the Baba Yara stadium.

Omgba Mfegue's brace and Imoro Ibrahim's strike were enough to seal a 3:0 victory for Asante Kotoko over Elmina Sharks.

Asante Kotoko ended their eight years Ghana Premier league title drought, the longest after the ten years barren run from 1993-2002.

GPL leading top scorer Franck Mbella Etouga missed numerous chances, as he failed to widened the gap between him (twenty-one goals) and Yaw Annor(twenty goals).

Asante Kotoko presented the title to the sole shareholder, Otumfour, at the Manhyia Palace this afternoon.

Speaking at the occasion, Otumfour tasked the team to win the African inter-clubs competition as he admits that it's been along time since Asante Kotoko conquered Africa.

"I congratulate you for winning the league title," he congratulated them.

"Now, you are going to Africa, I will urge you, the CEO, coach and the players to win Africa because it's been a while l laid hands on the title," he admitted.

"As a team, you need to remain united to be able to succeed."
