Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has heaped huge praises on the performance of his players following their outstanding performance to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League. 

 

Despite facing a stiffer oppositions, Kotoko kept their focus and finally a draw at Obuasi against AshantiGold SC in week 29 fixture couple of weeks ago confirmed them as winners.

However, they were officially recognized as such last Sunday night at the Baba Yara Stadium after marmalizing already-relegated Elmina Sharks by 3-0 thanks to goals from Imoro Ibrahim and a brace from substitute George Mfegue. 
 
Speaking in the post-match presser, the coach was in full praises and has greatly commended his players for a job well done throughout the season. He said; 
 
"I think they (players) are amazing people. From no where, we have gotten to somewhere and I think is because of their discipline and commitment to the course. I think that has actually brought us to where we are I doff my hat for them, I'm proud of them and I want to tell them that, they gave done really well. 'Ayekoo' to them."
 
The Porcupine Warriors just like last year's winners, received Ghc 250,000, 40 gold medals for their coaches, players and other club officials.
 
Asante Kotoko with 66 points still have their ten points lead intact and will play as guest to Accra Lions in the final fixtures next week in the capital.
