Hearts of Oak has sold goalkeeper Kwadwo Osei Bonsu to Ghana Premier League rivals Accra Lions FC. Bonsu signed a two-year contract with Accra Lions following successful negotiations on Tuesday afternoon.
Formerly with WAFA SC and Berekum Chelsea FC, Bonsu joined the Phobians in the second round of the 2023/24 season on a three-year deal but did not make an appearance. He is now set to relaunch his career with Accra Lions FC, where he is expected to claim the starting position for the 2024/25 league season due to his extensive experience.
Accra Lions FC, recognizing the importance of a reliable presence between the posts, hopes that Osei Bonsu will bring stability to their goalkeeping department and contribute to their campaign as they aim to replicate last season's performance.
Accra Lions is currently preparing for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League. The team finished second last season, ten points behind champions FC Samartex 1996, having amassed 51 points.
