After playing 31 matches and with a goal last season for FC Samartex, the 'Graduate' from Division One has been tipped to showcase another scintillating football in the league.

Nonetheless, he has hit the ground running instantly to draw people's attention to him with his first game.

It was indeed a demonstration of ' Rolls-Royce' performance last weekend when the league commenced for FC Samartex defender, Godwin Abusah in the game against Aduana Stars.

He showcased rare football, intelligence and bravery to guard their 1-0 lead in the game to a perfect conclusion.

It is not surprising that he was named as the Man of the match after the blockbuster showdown at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

Abusah's influence in the team last Sunday was amazing and he performed his duty to the topmost level.

The central defender despite being aggressive, is super intelligent, confident and composed on the ball. He is blessed with power on the ground and in the air, as well as enviable speed and an ever-improving distribution.

He is getting better with every fleeting week and has an astronomical high ceiling.

The stalwart defender was called twice to duty after his goalkeeper had been beaten completely. He left football fans at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in awe following how he stood on his grounds to make those clearances.

Though the season is too young to engulf players with praise, what Abusah exhibited deserves a special mention.

FC Samartex needed him at the most crucial way and he emerged to provide safety.

He has this to say after those stunning clearances.

" I dedicate the Man of the match award to the entire team for that collective display of outstanding performance. My primary duty as a defender is to defend and I did that to the core.

" Personally, I am excited for the three points because that is what we needed most. The Man of the match award is a bonus to me."

Godwin Abusah is set to change the narrative that Ghana Premier League lacks quality.

FC Samartex will play as guest to Nations FC on Sunday at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
