Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu has stated that the various domestic clubs need support.

Adu's comments comes after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), promised to support Ghana Premier League clubs with buses if he's elected as President after the 2024 December Polls.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Adu took off his cap in support of what Bawumia had promised.

“Yes, if that kind of commitment is fulfilled, it will be something that we will not forget, especially looking at how transportation has become a big ticket in terms of budgeting for the local clubs. So it will be something that we will all be looking forward to him satisfying when he gets the nod.

“And even before then, I think it’s also a plus for his detailed attention in the areas of getting Ghana football, especially the Premier League, revived. And I would always mention anywhere that there is more for improvement in the league. And this improvement is something not to be done by the club.

“The club’s goal is that we need holistic support. And one of them means is all that his excellency has lamented. Presently, it’s my first thought."
