The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has announced four standout performers shortlisted for the Premier League’s Goalkeeper of the Month award for April, following impressive displays between the posts.

Emmanuel Kobi (Gold Stars FC): The experienced shot-stopper enjoyed a solid month, guiding his side to four wins in six matches. He recorded three consecutive clean sheets and conceded just four goals during the period.

Daniel Afful (Accra Lions): Despite conceding the most goals (six) among the nominees and keeping two clean sheets, Afful’s contribution helped Accra Lions to three victories in five appearances.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon (Nations FC): The Burkinabe goalkeeper makes his first appearance on the shortlist after an outstanding month, conceding only one goal in five matches. He helped Nations FC secure four wins, with four straight clean sheets—the highest among the nominees—as the team finished the month atop the league table.

Shaibu Rafique Issah (FC Samartex 1996): Earning a second consecutive nomination, the young goalkeeper impressed once again with three clean sheets in five games. Issah played a key role in Samartex’s rise to seventh place, finishing the month with three wins, one draw, and one defeat while conceding four goals.

The winner of the award will be announced in the coming days.
