Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah says scoring early made the difference in his side’s 1–0 win over Heart of Lions in their Week 20 Ghana Premier League match.

The game which was played at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park saw Augustine Okrah score the only goal in the fourth minute, giving the Hunters all three points.

Speaking after the match, Amissah praised his players and explained how the early goal helped his team manage the game.

“First of all, I will encourage my players for putting up such a performance because Heart of Lions were tactically disciplined. The game itself was a nice game from both teams,” he said.

“We were lucky we scored very early, and I think that helped us to absorb the pressure. We were able to contain their pressure, and all in all, it was a lovely game. I’m excited by the performance of both teams.”
