The ‘Insha Allah’ lads are considering a change of their home venue to Abrankese Stadium for the second round of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

Ghana Premier League side King Faisal have reportedly informed the country's football governing body of changing their home venue to Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex (Abrankese Stadium) from match-week 18.

The management of the Kumasi based club are contemplating on packing out of the state-owned Baba Yara Sports Stadium due to high cost of usage and low attendance during match-days.

King Faisal have been using the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home venue since their promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium (Abrankese Stadium) has been rented out to Division One League outfit Nations FC since 2020 by business mogul Kwabena Kesse.

The edifice underwent a major facelift by the owners of Nations FC to meet the Ghana Football Association Club Licensing board requirements for Division One League games.

Kickgh.com understands that the venue which hosted Kessben FC (now Medeama SC) in the Ghana Premier League, a decade ago is set to be announced as the new home for King Faisal for the second half of the 2022/23 season's campaign.
