President of Medeama SC, Moses Armah has called on his players to remain humble and focused after the club finished the first round of the Ghana Premier League at the top of the standings.
The Yellow and Mauves sealed a narrow 1–0 win over Hearts of Oak at the TNA Stadium on Sunday, a result that ensured they closed the first round of the 2025/26 campaign two points clear of Bibiani Goldstars in second place.
Medeama’s rise has been underpinned by remarkable consistency, with the Yellow and Mauves currently on a 14-match unbeaten run, which is the longest sequence recorded in the Ghanaian top flight in more than 20 years. But Armah has warned that there is still plenty of work ahead in the title race.
“There is more room for improvement. We are not yet a finished article and we have a lot of work to do in the second round,” Armah told GHANAsoccernet.com, as reported by Kickgh.com from Tarkwa.
He stressed that the players must maintain its discipline and focus as the season enters a tougher phase.
“The boys are aware of what is at stake, so we will continue to take it one match after the other. The second round is always the most difficult part of the campaign, and we have to stay grounded and not get carried away,” he added.
Armah also appealed to supporters to keep backing the team as they continue their push toward their long-term target.
“We are far from reaching our ultimate goal, and I urge our fans to continue with their prayers and support for the team,” he said.
Medeama now turn their attention to a packed week at the TNA Stadium, with an MTN FA Cup Round-of-32 tie against Bibiani Goldstars on Wednesday, before returning to league action at home to Young Apostles on Sunday, January 11.
