Karela United were among the prolific spenders in the Ghana Premier League transfer market as they completed 14 signings before the window slammed shut on Sunday night, August 31.

The Pride and Passion also sanctioned the departure of five players, with all five generating transfer fees — making it a particularly profitable window for the club.

Among the high-profile arrivals is Azariah Fordjour, who joins from Medeama SC on a two-year contract, while Zakaria Abdulai arrives from Golden Boyz FC on a three-year deal.

Defensive reinforcement came in the form of Issah Ibrahim and Abdul Shakur Abubakar, both signed from Accra Lions.

Karela also secured the services of free agent Evans Osei Wusu on a one-year contract, while Bless Ege boosts the attack after joining on loan from Mighty Jets.

The squad revamp continues with additions across all positions:

Kelven Kofi Saaba (GK)

Hussein Issah (FW)

Joseph Quansah (CB)

Abedi Karim (FW)

Joseph Bekoe (RB)

Daniel Afadzwu (GK)

Danlad Nuhu (FW)

Olivier Adom (FW)

Karela’s bold approach highlights their ambition to compete strongly in the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, with head coach and fans alike eager to see how the new recruits blend into the squad.
