Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko has invited former Great Olympics right-back Philip Nii Kojo Sackey to their Adako Jachie training grounds for trials, as the club looks to strengthen its defensive lineup.
The move comes in response to an injury sustained by Emmanuel Kotei, which has left Kotoko relying solely on Lord Amoah in the right-back position. Sackey is undergoing assessment by the technical team, who will determine whether to offer him a contract.
In addition to Sackey, Kotoko are reportedly exploring other options to enhance their squad, with Richard Wiafe also on their radar.
The Porcupine Warriors have already added forward Kwame Opoku and striker Sampson Eduku to their roster during the January transfer window as part of their bid to strengthen their squad and boost their title aspirations in the Ghana Premier League.
