Ebenezer Armah Dida, a legendary figure at Hearts of Oak, has emphasized that goalkeeper Richard Atta delivered a commendable performance, notwithstanding conceding a late goal in their opening match against RTU last Friday.
Richard Attah has faced criticism for his mistake that led to the Phobians conceding a late goal during their match against RTU in Tamale. However, Dida believes that the goalkeeper made crucial saves in the game, which should not be overlooked.
Dida has appealed to the club's fans to halt their criticism and instead show support to Atta.
He stated, “So far so good. He did well but people are criticizing him for that mistake. He made very brilliant saves in the first half. He conceded a bad goal but we must support him because he saved us in the first half.”
Dida also emphasized the importance of encouraging and supporting Atta, highlighting that he is indeed a talented goalkeeper.
“What we see in this country, is what we talk about. But we must encourage him. He is a good goalkeeper.”
