Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has named Cameroonian striker Franck Etouga Mbella as the best player he has coached throughout his career.
Mbella's stellar performances for the Porcupine Warriors were instrumental in their 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title-winning campaign.
Mbella made an immediate impact upon joining Asante Kotoko, netting 18 goals in his debut season and securing the Golden Boot award. His technical prowess and clinical finishing left a lasting impression on Ogum, who praised the forward’s abilities during an interview with TV3.
"I will go for Mbella; he is technically good, Mbella is a killer" Ogum said.
When asked about the most difficult away ground in the Ghana Premier League, Ogum pointed to Dormaa Ahenkro, the home of Aduana Stars, as a challenging venue.
After a challenging season last year, Ogum is determined to lead Asante Kotoko to a successful campaign in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League. The team will next face Berekum Chelsea in their Matchday four fixture.
