Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford is dead set to prove his doubting Thomas's wrong concerning his side's quest to win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
The 'Dzie Woa Nu' stunned Medeama SC 1-0 on Wednesday at the Kpando Stadium in an outstanding Week 22 fixture.
After the match, Bashir Hayford was sure of his team's chances in sealing the league title even though people have written them off as title contenders.
“People counted us out of the journey to the top because we slipped a little; with this win and Kotoko’s defeat, it means we have closed the gap. What it means to me is that we are closing the gap at the top, so it means a lot to me,” Hayford stated.
Heart of Lions are currently 4th in the standings with 44 points. They will next play host to Accra Lions on Sunday, April 20.
