Vision FC head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has said Heart of Lions fully deserved their victory after the two sides met in Matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.

Heart of Lions returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win on Sunday, with both goals coming in the first half.

The  'Dzie Woa Nu' started strongly at the Kpando Stadium and took the lead in the 11th minute through Kelvin Asenso, who finished off an early attacking move.

Michael Ephson later added a second goal after a well-worked team move, giving Heart of Lions a comfortable advantage before the break.

There were no more goals in the second half, as the hosts stayed organised and saw out the game to claim all three points.

Speaking after the match, Agyemang praised the performance of Heart of Lions and admitted they were the better side on the day.

“Credit to Heart of Lions for the victory. They played with great determination and showed real commitment from the start. They were well-organised and executed their game plan effectively,” he said.

“In the first half, they were solid defensively and very dangerous in transition. They did a fantastic job and fully deserved to win.”

The result lifts Heart of Lions to 10th place in the league table, while Vision FC drop to 13th with 35 points.
