Kwame Opare Addo, the Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak, has expressed the club's determination to make a stronger impact in the second round of the Ghana Premier League compared to their performance in the first round.
The Ghanaian powerhouse is set to kick off their first-round campaign with a home fixture against RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Having secured just four victories out of 17 matches in the opening round, the Phobians endured a mixed bag of results, with 11 draws and four losses leaving them positioned 11th on the league table with 21 points.
In anticipation of Sunday's clash against RTU, Opare Addo emphasized the importance of fan support, urging all Hearts of Oak supporters to turn out in numbers and fill the stadium.
"We will be selling tickets at the gate so it means we want every Phobian to participate in this first game of the first round," he conveyed to Asempa FM.
Reflecting on the challenges faced in the first round, Addo expressed the club's ambition for improvement, affirming their commitment to delivering better performances in the upcoming matches.
“How the first round went, we want the second round to be better than that.”
As Hearts of Oak gears up for the second round of the league, they aim to elevate their position on the table and build momentum for a more successful campaign.
