Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and champions FC Samartex are set to battle it out against each other for the signing of Nsoatreman FC goalkeeper Sabi Acquah Ferdinand in the upcoming transfer window
The 28-year-old is one of the most experienced players in the Ghanaian topflight currently and last featured for Nsoatreman FC - where he joined last year on a two-year deal
The lanky shot-stopper got off to a great start in Nsoatre this season but still struggled to command the starting spot in between the sticks having struggled to drop club captain and first-choice Daniel Afadzwu
The former WAFA and Kotoku Royals goalie made 8 appearances this season for the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' lads with 7 league appearances and the other in the CAF Confederations Cup qualifying round having conceded ten goals with two clean sheets
According to Ghana football transfer expert Shaban Mohammed, Sabi Acquah Ferdinand has already gotten into contact with FC Samartex and could undergo medicals by the close of this week but the move could however be hijacked by Hearts of Oak - who have also been monitoring the situation
He was seen as one of the top talents in the Ghana Premier League seasons ago before WAFA's relegation from the top-flight after the 2021/22 season
