Vincent Sowah Odotei, a Board Member of Hearts of Oak, has revealed the club's aspirations to appoint a coach of the caliber of South African manager Pitso Mosimane.

Following the mutual departure of Martin Koopman, Hearts of Oak is currently without a permanent coach, with Abdul Rahim Bashiru serving as the interim coach.

Koopman left the club after recording two wins in 10 matches, and Mr. Odotei explained that financial constraints are limiting the club from securing high-profile coaches.

“Those of us in charge of Hearts of Oak now, we want to bring someone like Pitso Mosimane. Can we afford him? Do you know how much he was being paid at Al Ahly?” Odotei stated on Asempa FM.

“The point I am trying to make is that when appointing a coach, a lot of considerations come into play.

“If the fans are patient with us a bit, we believe we will get to a stage where we can attract world-class coaches.”

He emphasized the complexities involved in appointing a coach, considering various factors. Despite financial limitations, Odotei expressed hope that with patience from the fans, the club aims to reach a stage where they can attract world-class coaches.

Hearts of Oak, currently positioned 8th on the league log, is set to face rivals Asante Kotoko this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Matchday 13 fixture.
