Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has announced that defender David Oppong Afranie and attacker Kwabena Boateng will miss the upcoming Week 3 fixture against Bechem United in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season due to injuries.

In a pre-match interview with Hearts TV on YouTube, Coach Ouattara stated that while most of his squad is fit, the absence of Afranie and Boateng will be felt. However, he expressed optimism about their recovery, indicating that both players are making progress.

"The serious injuries we have are Afranie and Kwabena Boateng. Afranie started working yesterday, which is a positive sign as we initially thought it was a ligament issue. We expect to have him back in a few weeks. While they won’t be available for the next match, we hope to have them back soon," the coach explained.

The crucial match against Bechem United is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at the Legon Sports Stadium.

Coach Ouattara and his team are determined to secure their first three points of the season, a result that would bring much-needed joy to their passionate fanbase.
