Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed disappointment following his team's missed chances in the 1-0 loss against Bibiani Gold Stars in match-week 24 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
Despite a stellar display, the Phobians faltered by not converting chances into goals at the Accra Sports Stadium as they painfully succumbed to the defeat.
Former King Faisal midfielder Mawuli Wayo pounced on a goalkeeping error by Sharif Shuaib in the 79th minute to slice the ball into an empty net.
In a post-match interview, Ouatarra couldn't hide his frustration with the team's inability to find the back of the net.
“We missed so many chances, we didn’t try to shoot, it’s part of this football," he remarked.
“Sometimes you try your best but it doesn’t go well and unfortunately we take one goal defeat.
“In football, every time we are training, we correct some things. Today our centre back made some mistakes and we will continue to correct.
“That counter attack the goalkeeper went to do, that's a lack of experience by him but I think in all these things we are there to prepare the team.” Aboubakar Ouatarra told StarTimes.
Hearts of Oak have currently accrued 32 points as they sit 10th on the league standings after 24 rounds of matches.
