The enterprising defender has asked their fans to forget the 1-0 loss against Goldstars and focus on helping the team do well in their subsequent Ghana Premier League matches.
Hearts of Oak defender, Kelvin Osei Asibey, have called on their fans to dust themselves up and forget the narrow defeat suffered against Bibiani Goldstars on Sunday.
The Miners proved too strong for the capital based giant as Samuel Attah Kumi's goal was enough to make Goldstars fans smile wide at a half-packed University of Ghana Sports Stadium, and kept alive their hopes of trekking on the path of being favorite for the title.
Kelvin Osei Asibey has now called on the Rainbow fans to forget the defeat and focus on backing the team to finish the season in a respectable position starting with their Ghana Premier League matchday 9 game against Medeama on Friday, November 1.
“I will plead with the fans not to neglect us. They should keep supporting us because we cannot do without them. We’ve lost whether we like it or not but I believe things will get better for us going forward,” Asibey said after their game against Goldstars.
Hearts of Oak are sitting 12th on the Ghana Premier League table with 9 points after 8 rounds of matches, so far, in the campaign.
