Legon Cities head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin says his side was unfortunate to draw against Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League last Friday.
The matchday 8 encounter at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, which was almost wrecked by poor refereeing decisions, saw fans react angrily in the stands.
Accra Lions were in control as they dominated the game but Cities made a good chunk of goal attempts but failed to nip home as the match ended on a blank (0-0) note.
“I think it was a good game and both sides played very well. It was unfortunate to draw this game with those plenty of chances we created but I don’t know how to term it, without it was naivety or inexperience,” Fabin said in his post-match interview.
“What I see during training sessions and on match days is very different. Sometimes, I even ask the attackers whether they want to kill the goalkeepers.
“Our team is a work in progress. Two points from seven games is not good enough and I must admit it but what can we do? We will keep working hard and win games.
“Akatuk is still injured. He’s one of our best players and we are hoping, he will be fine soon and join us.”
The game had a tense finish following wrongful refereeing decisions against the visitors' Accra Lions.
The draw stalemate against Accra Lions has left Legon Cities FC still bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.
Up next for Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his Royals to take on giant Asante Kotoko in midweek.
