Interim head coach of Asante Kotoko, Hamza Obeng, has emphasized the need for unity within the squad as the club looks to end the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season on a high note.

The young tactician, who recently stepped into the role, believes success in the remaining fixtures will depend on a collective effort from both players and the technical team rather than individual brilliance.

Speaking ahead of Kotoko’s upcoming clash with Dreams FC, Obeng expressed his determination to make the most of the opportunity while acknowledging the responsibility that comes with leading one of Ghana’s biggest clubs.

“It’s a big platform, and I have to execute my role with the players while also showing what I can do,” he said. “People have their opinions, but the most important thing now is for everyone to come together. We are planning as a team, and if we want to win, it has to be a collective effort.”

Kotoko are currently intensifying preparations for the crucial encounter against Dreams FC, scheduled for Sunday, May 3, at the Tuba AstroTurf, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.
