Accra Hearts of Oak have disregarded reports of a player revolt in camp, insisting that there is no crisis within the team over players’ welfare and feeding arrangements.
The club stated emphatically clear in a press statement on October 8, 2026, the club’s management said reports circulating in the media suggesting that players were not being properly catered for were inaccurate and have urged supporters and other stakeholders to disregard the claims.
The ‘Phobians’ maintained that it provides players with welfare and employment packages that compare favourably with those of other teams within Ghana’s prevailing economic conditions.
According to the statement, players remain in the club’s accommodation and receive dinner the night before home games, followed by breakfast, lunch and dinner on matchdays.
For away fixtures, the club said players and officials are provided with three square meals on the day before the match and on matchdays.
Management stressed that the welfare of players and officials remains a priority and pledged to continue exploring ways to improve their conditions.
The statement comes as Hearts prepare to face Port City FC on Sunday, October 11, with the Phobians looking to return to winning ways after going three matches without a victory despite their promising start to the Ghana Premier League season.
