After suffering a 1-0 loss to Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak assistant coach, Abdul Bashir, expressed disappointment over missed chances during Wednesday afternoon's match.

Speaking to StarTimes post-game, Bashir emphasized the team's inability to convert numerous opportunities created throughout the game.

He lamented, "We started so well... We had some decent chances but we couldn’t take it." Despite maintaining control in the second half, they struggled to find the net, attributing Accra Lions' victory to effective defense and goalkeeping.

Bashir stressed the need to capitalize on scoring opportunities, asserting, "There are a lot of chances and we should have punished them. I don’t think they played better than us. Just that they took their chance and scored a goal, that’s the difference,” coach Abdul Bashir said.

In a call to fans for continued support, the assistant coach pledged diligent training efforts to secure a victory in the upcoming match against Berekum Chelsea.
