Former Hearts of Oak star, Mohammed Polo has asserted that the club is lacking God’s blessings to get the desired results.

In recent times the Phobians have hacked down to a cobweb of difficulties, having finished last season in the 14th position, and currently lurking on 11th in the ongoing campaign.

The Phobians have had a challenging start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, losing their first two games.

However, the tide turned on Sunday after they secured a 2-0 win over old foes - Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Polo, who was at the fold of Hearts for 21 solid years in an interview with Koforidua based Bryt FM' grieved about the bad treatment the club dolls-out to it's legends

“Poor treatment of players affecting Hearts of Oak. I have been denied several opportunities by the club and I think bad treatment of players has contributed to their recent struggles. Honestly, they lack God’s blessings.

“Asante Kotoko are better off in giving their legends opportunities. In Europe, clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and others always include their legends and it is hard to learn from them."
