According to reports, Hearts of Oak's head coach, Slavko Matic, has left the country without informing his employers after experiencing weeks of insecurity and frustration.
The expatriate trainer was allegedly prevented from entering the Pobiman training center on March 4th by some of the team's supporters, just two days before a crucial league game against rivals Asante Kotoko.
Assistant coach David Ocloo has since been in charge of the team. Kumasi-based Adehye FM has reported that Matic has left Ghana, and that Hearts of Oak only found out about his departure from his landlord.
The club has also reported to the Ghana Police that their coach is missing, and will report the situation to the Ghana Football Association.
