Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak have mutually parted ways with midfielder Gladson Awako.
Despite his contract with the club set to expire in 2024, both parties have amicably agreed to go their separate ways.
Awako's arrival at Hearts of Oak in 2021 was surrounded by controversy, leading to him being sidelined for over 100 days before making his debut.
During his tenure at the club, he played a crucial role in their FA Cup triumph two seasons ago and also captained the Black Galaxies in the CHAN tournament held in Algeria.
After Fatawu Mohammed's departure, the experienced midfielder was appointed as the captain of the club.
However, he encountered injury troubles last season, prompting him to seek a fresh start this summer, bidding farewell to the Phobians.
