Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen has expressed readiness to join the team's preseason following his full recovery from a very long time.
The combative middleman last played in the 2021/22 season where despite injured at some point, managed to finish the season including a stupendous display against Bechem United in the FA Cup final.
He hasn't featured for the 'Phobians' since having stayed home for the whole of last season to nurse his wound after a successful knee surgery in September last year in South Africa.
However, the good news for the Rainbow Club is that, the 24 year old is now fully fit and is ready to return to full action. He's also thanked the club for not neglecting him during his rehabilitation period.
"We thank God that I have been granted clearance by the doctor. So, I will be part of the team for the pre-season. This is the first time I am revealing that I will join the team for the pre-season training."
"Very very grateful because billions was spent to see me through this surgery. The cost of my ticket, accommodation, good hospitality, and caretaker were all borne by the club."
"We are talking about billions so why won’t I be grateful. I will, and everywhere, I will say it confidently. So, I am very grateful for what they did for me.”
Hearts of Oak are yet to regroup for preseason after somehow a disastrous and disappointing campaign.
Abdul Aziz Nurudeen is still having a running contract with Hearts of Oak, having extended until 2025 in December last year.
