Communication Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has spoken about diverse of issues; explaining into the details while the two heavyweights Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko ain't dominating Ghana football like they did in previous years.

Both teams have a total 46 league titles among themselves with Kotoko having the most (25) and the remaining 21 for Hearts of Oak and have never been relegated before signifying how dominant they have been.

However, it isn't the case anymore both teams haven't won the championship in the last two seasons and have only one each since 2015.

This clearly indicates the giants are unable to stamp their on the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup anymore like they use to due to the kind of competition they get from other clubs off late.

Speaking in an interview on the 'Pramaso' show on Kumasi-based Opemsuo Radio, the enterprising administrator was very frank that, they are unable to stay on top now because they are unable to attract talents these days as all young players are hoping to for an European spell to seek greener pastures

He further admitted that, they sometimes even struggle to snatch quality talents from the other clubs so they are always of the same quality and that's the reason of their recent struggles.

"Football is developing. Previously, all good players were joining Hearts or Kotoko but they are now spreading across. You see quality players not only in Premier but in first division as well so talents has spread across that's why our dominance hasn't been like here.

"Previously due to money, young players in lower divisions wants to play in abroad rather than joining Hearts or Kotoko but it wasn't like that sometime ago. So everything has changed, and now football has moved from recreation to proper business."

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are currently leading the league table with 46 points after 25 games while Hearts of Oak sit in sixth place with 40.
