Board member of Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akanbi has been disqualified from contesting for the Executive Council seat in the upcoming 2023 Ghana Football Association elections.
The experienced football administrator has been deemed ineligible to contest after failing to meet the requirements of the GFA election committee.
Alhaji Akambi, who is a well known Kurt Okraku's staunch follower has been given three days to appeal the decision of the vetting committee.
Kurt Okraku is in line to go unopposed for the top position, with the election scheduled to come off in Tamale on September 27.
