Accra Hearts of Oak Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, says the team’s 2-2 draw with Bibiani Goldstars should be seen as a positive step forward, despite the disappointment of not securing all three points in front of their home fans.
Speaking after the Matchday 8 Ghana Premier League fixture, Opare Addo described the result as an important building block for the Phobians as they look to regain consistency in the campaign.
“Drawing with Bibiani Goldstars was a stepping stone for us to bounce back even stronger, although the players are not happy with the outcome of the game,” he said.
The Phobians initially took the lead but were forced to chase the game after a spirited response from Goldstars, who briefly went ahead before Hearts struck late to salvage a point.
The performance, however, showed flashes of improvement that Opare Addo believes the team can build on. He urged both players and supporters to maintain belief, insisting that the draw should fuel determination rather than frustration.
“We see this as a moment to stay focused and motivated,” Opare Addo noted. “The team is improving, and with unity and hard work, we’ll rediscover our winning rhythm.”
Hearts of Oak will aim to build on their progress when they travel to face Basake Holy Stars in Matchweek 9 this weekend.
