Hearts of Oak Communication Director, Kwame Opare Addo has admitted it was a disappointing draw against Bibiani GoldStars over the weekend and has left the players unhappy but are determined to work things out to get back on track.
The ‘Phobians’ led and chase the game at the same time after being held by champions Bibiani GoldStars to a goalless draw over the weekend in match-day clash of the Ghana Premier League.
Mawuli Wayo broke the deadlock with a pretty finish on the stroke of half time to put the host ahead. Two quick second half goals from Samuel Atta Kumi brought the visitors on top at certain point before George Paaku came off the bench to equalize for both teams to split the points in the end.
This is the fourth draw the Rainbow Club have recorded so far in the season with three wins from their opening seven matches and are currently in 6th place with 13 points.
In a recent interview, club’s Spokesperson Opare Addo has described the draw against the Miners as a stepping stone for them in getting back on a higher note
"Drawing with Bibiani Gold Stars was a stepping stone for us to bounce back even stronger, although the players are not happy with the outcome of the game," he said.
Hearts of Oak will play as guests to newbies Basake Holy Stars in the next round of matches.
