Hohoe United have locked in goalkeeper Daniel Amissah on a new two-year contract as they gear up for life in the Ghana Premier League.

The 23-year-old was on the radar of Berekum Chelsea, who identified him as a possible replacement for Gregory Obeng Sekyere following his move to Aduana FC last month.

Chelsea had earmarked Amissah as a dependable successor, impressed by his reflexes, command of the box and consistency — qualities that earned him plaudits during Hohoe United’s promotion campaign in the Division One League.

Amissah recorded 11 clean sheets in 29 Division One League matches last season, playing a key role in the club’s rise to the top flight.

His decision to remain with Hohoe United hands the club vital stability as they prepare for their first Ghana Premier League campaign.
