Christopher Nettey, a defender for Accra Great Olympics, has expressed confidence that his team will avoid relegation in the current 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

Despite struggling initially and parting ways with Yaw Preko as coach, the team appointed Bismark Kobi-Mensah as the new head trainer.

While the team has only achieved two wins, two draws, and two losses under Kobi-Mensah's leadership in the past three months, Nettey believes that the team's move to the WAFA Park will benefit them.

"We are moving to the WAFA Park and I believe it is in the best interest of the club"

With only eight games left in the season, the team sits 17th on the league log with 31 points. Nevertheless, Nettey remains convinced that the team will survive relegation, stating his confidence in an interview: "There are few matches to end the end of the season but I am convinced that Great Olympics will survive relegation."

Their next match is against Tamale City, which they will host on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium for matchday 27.
