Asante Kotoko has officially announced the signing of Saaka Dauda, the 24-year-old captain of Bofoakwa Tano, after a successful medical in Kumasi.

The dynamic midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the Porcupines, marking Kotoko’s ninth acquisition this transfer window.

A native of Nalerigu, Dauda’s impressive performance for Bofoakwa Tano saw him net 8 goals and provide 3 assists in the Ghana Premier League. His ability to influence the game both offensively and defensively makes him an invaluable asset.

Additionally, his leadership experience, having captained Bofoakwa Tano to a memorable FA Cup final, will be instrumental in Kotoko’s quest for success.

Dauda shared his enthusiasm about joining Asante Kotoko, stating, "Joining Asante Kotoko is a dream come true for me. Having led Bofoakwa Tano to the MTN FA Cup final, I am eager to bring that same level of dedication and passion to this esteemed club. I am here to work extra hard and take the team to the top. I am here to offer the best I can to see the club at the top."

He added, "Honestly, it’s a dream come true to be here and to have the opportunity of working with Coach Ogum, whom I regard as a top coach."
