The Miners coach admits that he got his tactics wrong during the first half against the Timber Giants.
Bibiani Goldstars were held to a 1-1 draw by Samartex in a MatchDay two outstanding encounter on Wednesday afternoon.
While the Miners dominated proceedings for much of the second half, they failed to penetrate the Timber Giants defence in the first half. But following a tactical switch in the second half, Goldstars grabbed the all-important equaliser through Kelvin Oppong.
Speaking after the game, Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso was pleased with the draw going into their next match, but admitted that the Miners’ vapid first half performance was down to a tactical mistake on his part.
"I think it was a difficult game, especially in the first half and we struggled but in the second half when we made changes, things started getting better," Manso told Goldstars TV.
"So for me, it was a game of two halves, they played in the first and we took over in the second.
"We were unable to keep possession and were losing the ball anyhow and when it happens like that you run a lot and fatigue also settles in," he added.
Bibiani Goldstars will host Bechem United at the Dunn's Park in round five of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 6.
