New Asante Kotoko signing Walid Neymar Fuseini says he is ready to embrace the challenge of playing for the Porcupine Warriors, insisting that he thrives under pressure and is determined to make an immediate impact.
The 25-year-old midfielder sealed a three-year contract with the Kumasi giants this week after joining on a free transfer following the collapse of his former club, Nsoatreman FC.
His arrival is timely for Kotoko, who are reinforcing their squad ahead of a busy domestic season and their return to continental football.
Capable of operating in central, advanced, or wide midfield roles, Fuseini believes his versatility and experience will allow him to meet the high expectations at the club.
“I’m eager to contribute immediately, especially with Kotoko’s return to Africa. The expectations are high, but I do well under pressure,” he told the club’s media.
Fuseini is already well-versed in top-flight football, with 81 Ghana Premier League appearances and four CAF Confederation Cup outings to his name. His track record highlights him as one of the more seasoned midfielders in the league.
He began his career with Bolga All Stars, where his technical quality and work ethic quickly drew attention, before going on to establish himself at Nsoatreman.
Kotoko fans will be hoping Fuseini’s arrival provides both stability and creativity in midfield as the Reds look to make a strong statement in Ghana and on the African stage.
